CONTEMPORARY FINE ART & STUDIO

"While creating my work, I utilized my surroundings as a means of artistic stimulation. The elements found in the environment initially inform and, thus, become an inspiration for the artwork. The exploration process is the beginning of my interpretation of material form. The work then becomes an abstract reflection of my surroundings in space and time. The creative process of filtering ideas into the physical object of an aesthetical value is the final method of my work. My understanding is that art takes me closer to a realization of myself. This is a subject matter that everyone attempts to address through religion, education, and/or isolation. My work is a collaboration of all these ideas in a manifestation in material form.

The intellectual interest I pursue in art is an interpretation of the unconscious. Using my creative process, I exert the mental capacity of the here & now and the concept of time with space in a material form. With these ideas, my work can be referenced to the process of nature in conjunction with time and space as a phenomenon. I allow constant change to occur through a mixture of materials and mediums. My work is a metaphor for the process of entropy and the subversion of energy. I want to reveal the everyday overlooked aesthetic of all that surrounds our environment. I emphasize the importance and beauty of the process over the product."
